  • If you don’t sleep for a week and drink a keg of cold drip, you could potentially finish all your lectures and homework for a course or two. We don’t recommend it—but there may be people who have lots of time on their hands in particular stretches and want to get ahead. That’s totally fine. Work at your own pace & accomplish as much as you would like in that time.

  • It is the responsibility of the student to access their own textbooks for the course work. We recommended finding deals on Amazon, as well as taking advantage of offers that Logos Bible Software makes to Theos Seminary from time to time.

  • Yes. Any credits that you have taken outside of our program that are equivalent can be transferred in.

  • You may fill out the admissions application here which includes admissions essays and application fee.

  • Every Monday night there is a lecture from one of our professors via Zoom. This is called Theos Nights. We encourage you to be on these lectures as it will enable you an opportunity to be part of the academic community at Theos Seminary. It meets at 7pm EST and you can find the links to the Zooms posted each week in clubhouse, posted under the Theos Nights tab.

  • The State of Texas (and many other states) believe that ministries should be allowed to train their own clergy, granting up to a Doctorate. The first universities in America were Seminaries, the first universities in the world were Christian and planted by the church. We see our program as a return to education as it was intended. Because we believe that our program should look the way it looks in terms of classes and content, we will never be “regionally accredited”. For us, it’s a matter of Philosophy.

Our Online Biblical Studies Programs

"It sounds incredible," you may be thinking, "but what exactly is included in this program?" An excellent question! The depth and breadth of your Christian education here will be immense and of great academic value! In the modern age of theological liberalism- a plague which has infected far too many Christian schools- it is important to find a degree program which actually teaches from the Scripture and the blessed saints who came before us Be prepared for a Biblical higher education. Here are but a few of the online courses that you can expect in our biblical studies degree:

Bible Reading: Though this may sound redundant to mention given the name of the degree is a "Bachelor's degree in Biblical studies," it is important to explain just how thorough our program is in Bible reading. You will read through the Pentateuch (BI101), the Major (BI201) and Minor Prophets (BI301) of the Old Testament, read through the "Writings" [Psalms, Wisdom Literature, etc.] (BI302, BI303), and learn the historical context which informs all Old Testament writing (BI202). Then, you shall continue on even into the Synoptic Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke (BI102), Gospel of John (BI300), the many writings of Paul (BI200), and all else that comprises our Holy deposit of Faith; the Scripture. Our Biblical Studies program is dedicated to ensuring that you form a Biblical worldview, which is why such a large number of the core courses for this program are books of Scripture. A comprehensive teaching through the Old and New Testaments will ensure that your Biblical education is full, and your Christian faith is rooted in- well- the Bible! A bachelor's degree with Theos will ensure you of that skill.

Biblical Interpretation Skills: Otherwise known as "Hermeneutics," courses like TH101, TH201, and TH301 will offer you a consistent and ever-advancing understanding on historical methods of interpreting the Scripture! Without a clear understanding of hermeneutics, Biblical teaching becomes inconsistent, poor, and often untrustworthy. This course should be a requirement in every seminary degree program worldwide, but is often not. We at Theos are proud to say that we offer courses to develop a strong framework for Biblical interpretation skills. That means that your bachelor's degree will represent a solid foundation for hermeneutical study of Scripture. It is necessary for a valuable Biblical education, and will help in laying the groundwork for the topic mentioned next: theological studies.

Christian Doctrine: Among our many Christian studies courses are our theological studies courses that teach historical and foundational Christian doctrine. Some examples include TH100 (Systematic Theology I), TH200 (Ecclesiology), TH300 (Pneumatology), and TH402 (Biblical Inerrancy). This will also allow our students to see the many theological schools of thought which exist on the nature of God, the nature of the Scripture, and the nature of mankind! While many Christian colleges only present their students with their own method of interpreting Scripture, Theos is dedicated to showing the breadth of theological/eschatological/ecclesiological beliefs which have arisen throughout the history of the Church. Aside from those foundational principles, our biblical studies degree offers academic analyses of Eschatology (BI 203), Catechism (TH104), and the whole of Church History (HIS101 and HIS201). We even explore the best (and worst) of our contemporary theologians to see what new work is being done for the Lord's Church (PH300). Above all, we work to empower you with the right tools to defend our faith and doctrine (PH100). Your bachelor's degree will indicate a full knowledge of those doctrines most properly established by our Lord, Jesus Christ. Having gone through our program, you will have come to know the depths of what it has meant, means, and shall continue to mean "being a Christian."

These topics, and many more, will be explored in your online degree. Don't worry about needless, unrelated general education courses. While many other Christian colleges waste your time by filling their Biblical studies degrees with meaning "gen. ed." courses that only serve to increase your bill, any studies degree with Theos will be direct and streamlined.
